Charitable Remainder Trust

A Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) is a trust that you create and fund with assets (e.g. cash, stock, real estate). You would then annually choose to receive either a fixed dollar amount or a fluctuating dollar amount based on a percent of the assets in the CRT for a pre-determined number of years. At the end of that pre-determined number of years, the remainder passes to the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. You are eligible for an income tax deduction in the year the CRT is funded.

Consult a licensed attorney for further information on starting and giving through a CRT.
